Hey there, I'm Devon Nguyen, a fifth year, studying Lighting Design in the Architectural Engineering program at the Pennsylvania State University.  While at Penn State, I have been involved through various ways, specifically the Penn State Dance Marathon benefitting Pediatric Cancer, where I served as a Rules & Regulations Event Safety Pass Team Captain.

Throughout the past couple of summers, I have gained experience in the Lighting Industry through internships both in the lighting controls and design focus areas of lighting. Most recently, I completed an internship with Sean O'Connor lighting in Los Angeles, California. While at SOCL, I assisted the design studio on multiple projects within the retail, hospitality, and residential disciplines.  I saw myself generating lighting layouts, running calculations to confirm compliance, and creating graphical representations for client understanding. As stated above, I also gained two years of experience at Lutron Electronics where I became familiar with lighting control systems while working with the Specification Design Services Team.  There I contributed to the team by creating onelines, sensor layouts, and sequence of operations for various projects.
